How to Update a Domain Name Server

A domain Name Server or NameServer is a combination of addresses that connect a domain name to a web hosting server.  In simple terms when you type a domain name on a web browser it’s the name server that tells the domain name in which web server to query the information from.

Below is a  step by step guide on how to update a domain name server

Login to your webcom client area using your email address and password

On your client area clock on Domains as shown below

Against the domain that you want to change the name server click on the arrow facing down the “Manage Domain”

Then on the left click on the name server and update your name server as shown below and click Change Nameservers

Your nameserver has been updated. It take up to 24 hours for a name server propagation to take place.
